    Senior Commercial Manager, Financial Crime Compliance Initiatives

    Job Description

    A commercially minded, target incentivized individual SWIFT's commercial development in the Financial Crime Compliance area across Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing initially on the South and East African market.

    You will be accountable for achieving challenging sales objectives, defining and executing go-to-market and commercial plans in collaboration with relationship managers.

    As a dynamic sales professional with very good understanding in banking and great experience in compliance services, you have a strong customer focus and the ambition to drive SWIFT's growth in the Financial Crime Compliance domain.

    Responsibilities

    The Financial Crime & Compliance Services Commercial Manager will be responsible for:

    • Defining, developing and executing EMEA commercial strategy and plans for the Financial Crime Compliance portfolio in order to achieve targeted sales objectives.
    • Identify customer needs / market opportunities and achieve business growth by building and maintaining long-term customer relationships with banks, vendors and corporates in the area of compliance.
    • Act as a single point of contact for large clients and/or support as a center of expertise.
    • Promote SWIFT in order to grow our market share, participate to domestic fairs, forums and market place working groups.
    • Liaise with other SWIFT divisions/departments (mainly Customer Service, Markets, Consultants and Product Managers) and Commercial team managers in order to provide internally a coordinated service, integrated solution and feedback on market intelligence, resolve product gaps and other relevant information.Maintain/enhance skills and knowledge around market and regulatory trends.
    • Share Compliance knowledge with team members and EMEA sales staff.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    • University degree or equivalent by experience
    • ACAMS, ICA or equivalent diploma (encouraged though not required)
    • Demonstrable sales experience in Sales, Compliance Services, Financial Crime, Vendor/Applications, Financial Institutions or Dedicated Compliance Consultant background, in a customer facing role.
    • The desire and ability to develop your potential to grow into an expert sales professional
    • The ability to develop and maintain relationships at senior commercial and technical levels
    • An autonomous, self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset
    • A proven track record in developing internal and external stakeholder relationships
    • The ability to work with local team and collaborate with them
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to present and negotiate effectively
    • Fluency in English. African languages and French are strong assets.
    • Flexible attitude toward travelling (up to 50%)
