Chief Financial Officer - Africa Financial Services - JHB Based at Intrepid HR

Our client is a highly successful pan African financial services firm currently present in 12 countries across the region . They have recently secured significant external investment in their business and are expanding both into new countries and in product diversification.

• Reporting directly to the CEO your key responsibilities will include - Financial and management reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, credit and overall finance business support. This includes the development of long-term and annual plans based on strategic company direction, and may include the opportunity to work on M&A activity.
• This role also encompasses relationships with multiple stakeholders including investors, auditors and regulators. Overall, this individual will work extensively with the leadership team, developing collaborative relationships and providing business finance leadership to support the implementation of the company’s strategy.
• This is a role for a proven and entrepreneurially-minded finance executive with strong drive and growth potential. We ideally seek to attract someone with an appreciation of working for a private equity-backed company and are looking for a strong leader, who demonstrates agility, flexibility, detail orientation, and can toggle between strategic high level outputs and a more hands-on approach when required.
• To secure this exciting and high profile role you will need to be a South African citizen, or already have the authorisation to work in SA.
• Additionally you will need to be either CA(SA) / ACCA or post MBA qualified.
• A minimum of 8+ years experience within diversified finance, with a good understanding of business tax optimisation across Africa.
• A minimum of 3 years pan African experience in a finance leadership role.
• The role will initially be based in Sandton, Johannesburg and candidates must be eligible to work in South Africa.
• Over time, there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to transition to a Mauritian location.
