    Fund Reporting Manager

    Purpose Of Role

    • The Client Reporting team are responsible for providing bespoke client and performance reporting to asset managers within the UKMEA region.

    Officers Are Responsible For

    • Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all team deliverables
    • Reviewing monthly and quarterly client reporting as well as monthly performance reporting
    • Management of staff within team

    Core Duties

    Service Delivery

    • Monitor and evaluate the continuing effectiveness of all procedures, controls and systems. Improve and leverage best practice where appropriate.
    • Participate in the resolution and escalation of queries and issues as required, liaising with the relevant internal teams and departments
    • Participate in business unit projects and working groups as well as relevant global and regional initiatives

    Communication

    • Communicate effectively and build constructive relationships within the team, with the various SA and UK Client Service teams as well as all relevant internal teams and departments
    • Act as an escalation point forUK Client Service teams and lead Service Review Meetings.
    • Ensure your manager as well as other appropriate persons are kept aware of all issues that may impact upon the quality of service being delivered

    Personal Development

    • Take a pro-active interest in own training and development, including the progression of your managerial skills
    • Actively participate in appraisal process by completing a self-evaluation and identifying areas for development

    Staff Management

    • Perform appraisal process for direct reports. Monitor and appraise the performance of direct reports – providing regular formal and informal feedback ensuring the PPR system is updated within corporate deadlines
    • Lead, coach and motivate staff and provide leadership on business and technical issues
    • Participate in the recruitment process
    • Monitor staff absenteeism and overtime ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place.
    • Promote and review training and development strategy for individuals, taking specific responsibility for the development and coaching of direct reports
    • Set and maintain standards of personal and professional performance/behavior, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures

    Risk And Compliance

    • Demonstrate and maintain a clear understanding of the underlying risks inherent in the processes that this role is responsible for.
    • Engage with your team and Business Risk to reduce operational risk and improve controls.
    • Ensure your immediate manager as well as other appropriate persons are kept aware of all issues or queries that may impact upon service delivery and that any risk incidents are reported and escalated in a timely manner.
    • Participate in appropriate Corporate Governance forums
    • Ensure full compliance with all corporate policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Monitor all internal KRIs taking action, where necessary, to resolve outstanding items and provide regular updates to department head and senior management, as appropriate

    Skills / Knowledge

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial instruments and global custody.
    • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Demonstrable leadership skills
    • Capable of resolving problems effectively and independently.
    • Strong networking abilities and organisational skills
    • Experience of working in a deadline-driven fund accounting or similar environment is essential

    Level Of Education

    • B. Com. (Honours) / B. Bus. Sci. / Similar

    Experience

    • 6+ years working experience in a fund accounting or similar environment
    • 3+ years of people management experience.
