    Clinical Risk Coordinator

    Job Description

    The Position

    St John of God Berwick Hospital (SJGBH) is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual for the role of Clinical Risk Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis, working 30 hours a fortnight.

    The Clinical Risk Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the integration and improvement program at SJGBH using the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. They will also manage the polices and procedures process as well as providing support and participation in relevant SJGBH governance committes.

    The Successful Candidate Will Have

    • Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
    • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse/ Registered Midwife
    • Minimum 5 years expererience working in health care as a Registered Nurse or Midwife
    • Experience in working with quality systems within a health care setting (e.g. National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, Australian Council on Healthcare Standards)
    • Ability to perform literature searches using electronic databases, and interpret and evaluate research
    • Ability to write clearly
    • Good oral communication skills
    • Ability to manager own workload and effectively manage deadlines
    • High level computer skills
    • A commitment to personal ongoing education and professional development
    • An ability to liasise with medical practitioners and other health professionals
    • Committed quality patient care and customer satisfaction
    • Knowledge and experience in evidence based practice
    • Ability to work as part of a team
