Financial Stock Analyst (Inventory) at Aspen Pharma Group

Job Description

OBJECTIVE: To drive the monitoring and reporting on inventory management metrics and to ensure optimum operation of stock interfaces.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

FINANCIAL

• Effective utilization of resources to keep processes cost effective
• Reduce the risk of major stock-write offs and stock losses
• Stock management of R1,3 billion
• Develop and monitor key metrics aligned to overall stock management strategy
• Ensure optimum operation of stock interfaces
• Compile and manage Supply Chain Division budget
• Ensure expenditure is controlled and reviewed against budget
• Manpower requirements are identified, planned and executed for the half/full year stock takes

CUSTOMER

• All queries are followed up and resolved in the shortest possible timeframe within policy framework and with a display of professional attitude

STOCK MANAGEMENT

• Develop, implement and audit systems to control and monitor Finished Goods stock balances
• Manage and reconcile the half/full year pre and post stock-take
• Prepare quarterly stock adjustments report as per the stock tolerance agreement
• Ensure rejected goods/returned stock and short dated stock is destroyed in accordance with the pharmaceutical regulations
• Collate stock adjustments into damages, transfer variances, and stock count
• Generate a 2-5 and 6-12 months stock report and provision analysis
• Liaise with GSK on a monthly basis to discuss the short dated stock and agree on write-off costs as per the contract
• Ensure incoming Outsource direct delivery finished goods receipts are managed and co-ordinated between the various warehouses
• Facilitate the action required of the weekly goods in transit report to meet customer service requirements, ensuring that delivery/ transfers, receipts take place
• Interact with Demand Planners, IHS, RTT, and ACW on a daily basis to support the distribution requirements plan
• Ensure SOP’s are compiled and maintained

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a Matric
• Must have a B. Com Finance Degree
• Atleast 5 years BAAN / ERP system exposure is required
• Must have 5 years financial experience
• People Management Experience
• Solid Systems experience
• Office Administration
• Proficiency in document control
• Proficiency in word processing, & spreadsheets
