Job description
Be part of the team bringing the Square Kilometre Array to South Africa.
SKA-SA is looking for a Software Systems Engineer, to perform systems engineering, manage requirements and drive the software qualification process of computing systems in the MeerKAT radio telescope.
The successful candidate will have an engineering or computer-science degree and 8+ years experience managing software projects, and knowledge of formal systems engineering processes. A post-graduate qualification, SE or PM certification, and experience with radio, radar, communications or astronomy would be a bonus.
The position involves direct interaction with the project manager, assistance with the development of interfaces to other systems, and reporting on the progress of the systems engineering and project status, to the MeerKAT systems engineer and Project Manager.
