Main Responsibilities

• Conceptual and detailed geometric design
• Responsible for major and minor rural and urban roads (Provincial, National and International)
• Accepting responsibility for geometric design output of self and design team
• Client interaction, able to meet clients’ requirements
• Preparation of quantities and tender documents
• Liaison with members of the project team
• Adhere to quality procedures and standards
• Design co-ordination
• Project management
• Ensure financial viability of projects and/or task allocation
• Quality management control of project input/output and that of the design team
• Liaison with project members of the professional team and client representatives
• Create, perform and maintain collaboration between different business units and offices
• Provide active mentoring and coaching of staff
• Ability to encourage learning, growth and innovation

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience

• B.Eng. / BSc / BTech: Civil Engineering
• Professional Registration with ECSA as PrEng / PrTech Eng
• Minimum of 10-years experience in a transport environment with geometric design skills essential on Provincial and National roads.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Civil Designer is essential
• Business development and client liaison experience
• Report writing and presentation skills are essential.
• Microsoft Office proficiency essential
