    Account Manager

    Job description

    Position: Account Manager – Times Media

    Reporting to: National Sales Manager

    Department: Sales & Advertising

    Location: Parktown, Johannesburg

    Purpose

    • To efficiently and effectively achieve set budgetary Sales targets for the assigned
    • portfolio - All Times Media Newsprint titles.

    Main responsibilities

    • To contribute to the strategic success of the sector
    • To achieve set individual sector target and yields
    • To generate weekly sales call reports for the National Sales Manager
    • Adhere to the Sales Operations and Protocols manual and other company policies and procedures
    • Contribute to the development of the Sales Strategy and execution thereof
    • Initiate, develop and maintain business relationships with key clients;
    • Attend Public sector events for networking purposes
    • Maintain cross-departmental (Editorial, Production, advertising and circulation, Marketing and Finance) relationships;

    Requirements

    Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for this position:

    • Must have matric qualification or equivalent
    • Must have at least 3 years experience in the sales or consulting environment
    • Contacts in the advertising and public sector entities will serve as an advantage
    • Strong people skills
    • Sound Business and Presentations Skills
    • Must have a valid Drivers Licence and reliable own transport
