Strong Technical Business Analyst. Senior level at Blue Desk Marketing

Job description

My client is looking for a Technical Business Analyst (focus being on systems exposure and coding) who will be tasked and is capable with analysing business processes within the company and recommending projects to improve the effectiveness of those processes. The main systems that the BA will be responsible for are Eagle, TCube, Datamatrix and ThinkFolio. This specified position requires an intermediate knowledge in SQL, MS SQL and Oracle. Advanced knowledge in generating process and business requirement documentation - NB!

The BA will then ensure together with the project manager, the developers and our IT partners, that the requirements are accurately translated into system developments. The BA will be working across a range of projects complex and simple, and with a range of member companies from small service providers to global providers.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Education

Bachelor’s degree required with preference given to candidates with a degree in Commerce and IT/Computer Science.

Relevant Work Experience

2 to 4 years of experience in Business/Systems Analysis

Responsibilities

• Streamlining and re-engineering processes.
• Guiding users in gathering system requirements and designing/implementing new solutions.
• Working with end users to capture and document business requirements which will translate into functional specifications.
• Providing analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
• Performing feasibility analysis, scoping projects, and working with the project manager to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
• Working with end users to perform unit, system, and regression testing.
• Developing documentation to detail the logic and testing processes.
• Be able to troubleshoot and provide production support to business users.
• Possess enough technical expertise to thoroughly research and resolve issues (developing queries) with minimal guidance from the technical staff (developers).
• Understand the complexities and inter-dependencies of the various systems
• Supporting month-end activities.
