    Sales Controller

    Job description

    What you can expect

    The incumbent will be responsible for partnering with and supporting the BASF Coatings Services Sales team to manage commercial planning, governance, market investment process and customer contracts. General duties will include:

    • Compiling and communicating monthly Developmental Sales reports to the Sales teams, variance analysis on weekly sales volumes, Sales Dashboards, Sales Cost Centre reports, etc.
    • Assisting Sales Managers in completion of relevant business cases of future investments.
    • Completing market investment forms in an accurate and timely manner
    • Measuring return on all market investments (ROI)
    • Providing commercial advice, based on financial acumen, regarding future investments to Sales Manager
    • Assisting Company Controller in Annual and Monthly Forecasting and Budgeting process – by collation of sales data and development/enhancement of accurate forecasting and planning models.
    • Conducting bi-monthly sales management meetings with regional sales management team.
    • Giving service to Sales Managers in drafting customer Contracts.
    • Supporting Controlling projects as per discretion of Company Controller.

    What we expect

    • B. Com Accounting / Financial Management qualification
    • CIMA qualification – or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a controlling/management accounting role.
    • Exposure to Forecasting and Planning cycles
    • Excellent communication (both written and spoken) skills
    • Strong Time Management skills
    • Computer literacy: Excellent MS-office skills
    • SAP experience
    • Excellent report writing skills
