    Inland Regional Sales Manager CRHF (Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure)

    Job description

    MAIN PURPOSE And RESPONSIBILITIES Of JOB

    • Lead and develop the establishment of the strategies, annual goals and objectives of the CRHF (Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure)Portfolio for the Inland Pretoria Region.
    • Develops annual Regional marketing plans in conjunction with sales and marketing teams, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus on meeting organizational objectives and achieving AOP.
    • Managing the entire CRHF product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, for the Region.
    • Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information and activity
    • Acts with accountability to achieve the strategic imperatives defined for the CRHF Division.
    • Contributes to set up and develop of annual Business and Account Plans to grow the Regional CRHF portfolio, across all CRHF related product lines, with a special focus on New Product introduction.
    • Establishes stronger linkage with the marketing activities of the RSA Marketing Team.
    • Work with the CRHF Product team to drive cross portfolio leveraged opportunities.
    • Identifies business growth opportunities and potential unmet customer requirements and provides vision and focus to move ideas to marketplace.
    • Meets with key healthcare specialists to discuss product features and benefits.
    • Assures local input to plans and programs including product launches and promotional programs and training needs.
    • Works with business unit to provide input on forecasts, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinical evaluation, etc …
    • Supports regional activities for promotion and public relations, including support for Medical meetings.
    • Assures alignment in other functional areas such as research, clinical development, education, reimbursement and sales.
    • Administrates and manages expense budget for the CRHF Portfolio, within approved limits.
    • Consistently and effectively communicates business/marketing strategies and directions to Business Manager, and works with team to implement.
    • Meets with customers regularly to assess future market needs, as well as to maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders. Should also identify, ‘recruit’ and retain KOL’s to support growth Strategy.
    • Maintains frequent and continuous communication with sales force regarding competitive activities as well as initiatives relating to competitive product lines.
    • Initiates and organizes studies required to develop the market for the various potential applications for implantable monitoring. These will take the form of both clinical and economic value to drive the appropriate use and cost effectiveness of product opportunities.
    • Works in collaboration with the Education & Training Organization (Academia) in the field of CRHF.
    • Analyzing potential market/industry partner relationships to help drive and grow market business within the Region.
    • Work with Customer Services to release back orders / stock promptly
    • Manage team with monthly consignment stock checks/ short dated stock.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS And EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the CRHF field
    • Appropriate business/science qualification
    • Managerial experience preferred.
    • Willingness to travel.
    • Knowledge of CRHF customer base.
    • Ability to manage group of diverse people.
    • Numerical literacy skills
    • Ability to lead and mentor colleagues
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Creativity

    Skills / Competencies

    • Very strong knowledge of the CRHF market and product portfolio. Relevant tertiary qualification would be highly beneficial.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of the current CRHF market.
    • Strong in marketing management skills particularly in marketing strategies, in product positioning, quality improvement education, pricing and reimbursement.
    • Comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the CRHF market. (Trends ,Competition, Products)
    • Ability to plan, manage and execute projects within budget and on schedule.
    • Ability to identify, manage and improve marketing processes and derive commercial benefit.
    • Strong analytical, financial and planning skills.
    • Strong relationships with leading and influential CRHF related customers (Cardiologists)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse creative employees.
    • Ability to work with high level executives and to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and customers (strong written and verbal skills).
    • Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution. Commitment to continuous learning.

    • Ability to give expert opinions and strategic advice.
    • Ability to work co-operatively in a matrix environment.
    • Must be able to work in a team / Very close Teamwork with “Field & Product” Managers in RSA

    • Language skills: English and (ideally)a second one.
