Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage traffic engineering related projects including traffic signal design, traffic impact studies, and traffic studies associated with TODs and general mixed use developments and pedestrian modelling studies
• Traffic engineering input into Roads Master Planning, Transportation Studies, Corridor Development Studies, bus priority studies,
• Traffic Engineering input in the development of Universal Access (UA) compliant engineering elements
• Manage traffic engineering and pedestrian related micro-simulation modelling

Key Requirements:

• BEng or BSc Civil Engineering with a Master Degree being an added advantage
• 5 - 10 years relevant working experience with a broader interest in Transportation Planning
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team in a traffic engineering environment
• Microsimulation modelling experience highly beneficial
• Ability to work in a team environment across a diverse range of projects
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must have a valid South Africa driving licence and be willing and able to travel, occasionally being required to stay at project sites
