The Infrastructure and PPP Advisory Practice is a leading provider of expertise in the following areas:

• Financial and economic appraisal of infrastructure projects
• Formulating project finance structures for large infrastructure projects
• Analysis of growth dynamics and trends of key infrastructure sectors across Africa
• Identifying, scoping and supporting (capital raising) investment opportunities for project developers and sponsors
• Advising African governments on PPP policies and supporting investment frameworks

Our team has extensive experience working throughout Sub-Saharan Africa assisting project sponsors to design and implement models for delivering infrastructure and related services. We are able to balance the private investor’s interests with public sector requirements for quality infrastructure assets and services across a range of sectors including energy, water, ICT, health, education and transport. Our PPP services assist in the development of sustainable policies and projects that are attractive to both public and private sector institutions.

The Practice is looking to recruit an Associate to augment the team. The Associate will be part of a team of consultants providing strategic insights and analysis to a variety of clients on infrastructure and PPP assignments.

Requirements:

• Strong academic background (minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Science, Accounting, Engineering or similar discipline.
• A Master degree would be advantageous)
• 3-5 years’ experience in consulting or relevant field
• Knowledge of the infrastructure project preparation and life cycle
• Experience in project appraisal – specifically the financial and economic analysis of projects (Cost-Benefit Analysis)
• Experience in some of the following infrastructure-related sectors, specifically, water, transport, energy, Construction, ICT, health and agriculture
• Financial Modelling, especially project finance/PPP modelling
• Knowledge and experience of broader thematic areas such as climate change and integrated resource management would be advantageous
