POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of this role is to provide specialist advice and executes Category Management activities in line with specified guidelines and business requirements to confirm surety and supply and minimum supply risk for the business.

REQUIREMENTS

• Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Mining Engineering / Engineering / Commercial and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in either commercial or technical (Smelter, Coal & Manganese operations / Contract Management) of which 1 years must have been in a supervisory capacity;
• 4 Years’ experience working on SAP/1SAP is essential;
• Experience in the mining environment will be an added advantage.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Applies Category Management processes in alignment to design intent, local operating procedures, audit & Procedures obligations;
• Develop effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements, to forecast, demand and verify established contracts are effective;
• Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery in line with business objectives;
• Identify and implement Category Management improvement initiatives with support from supply Analyst & Improvement;
• Develops and executes sourcing activities contributing to the Asset/Project Supply Sourcing Plan;
• Collects requirements and analyses key data inputs from multiple sources (internal and external) to build robust category and sourcing strategies.
