Job description
One of the leading Insurance companies is in search of a qualified accountant that has 2-3 years post articles experience within an investment bank. The candidate should also have strong derivatives exposure and ideally have exotic derivatives experience.
The Product Control team is directly responsible for this control function, along with the daily, monthly and yearly PnL Attribution reporting of the various trading desks. They offer a unique exposure to a wide variety of exotic and vanilla trading activities. In addition, because of the complexities they see across these multiple risk and instrument types, each day is challenging and highly rewarding in ensuring they successfully assemble the asset and liability PnL Attribution with the Balance Sheet and Realised Cash movements, ensuring we can explain and validate these fluctuations using daily moves in Market Data against a particular Risk Exposure for the day.
