Purpose of the Job

B-BBEE verification checks for various companies (Clients). The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of BEE verification engagements.

Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

• Performing B-BBEE verification audits for various entities in accordance with the DTI’s BBBEE Codes of Good Practice and KPMG’s verification methodology.This includes but is not limited to:
• Reviewing compliance prior to a BEE verification audit
• Preparing a complete verification file in compliance with the KPMG verification methodology and concluding on the results
• Interpreting and analysing results of verification procedures performed
• Calculate preliminary scores on the entities’ BEE scorecard
• Preparing verification reports on the findings of verification audits
• Discussing verification findings with and presenting the results of verification engagements to management
• Addressing client queries/complaints in a professional and timeous manner

Critical Technical Skills Or Competencies

• Able to interact with people (clients and team) and build strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Have problem solving and analytical skills as well as the ability to work under pressure,
• A good understanding of accounting principles and interpretation of financial systems and financial statements
• Computer literacy with advance excel is essential
• Sound understanding of the of verification methodology and the BBBEE Codes of Good Practice

Qualifications And Experience

• B.Com or relevant Under Graduate qualification
• 3 – 4 years experience within the BBBEE SANAS verification field with some experience in the accounting/finance field
• Completed the Management Development Programme (MDP)
• Accredited by SANAS as a verification analyst
• Drivers Licence and vehicle is essential
