Product Manager (ACL Audit and Indirect Tax) at CQS Technology Holdings

An exciting opportunity to join our team as a Product Manager for our pioneering and innovative ACL Assurance and Indirect Tax Products.

• Be responsible for all the Assurance and VAT product roadmaps (products are ACL Essentials and Indirect Tax Assurance at this stage).
• Nest tests management, thinking of and obtaining from clients and other sources for new features, improvements and bug fixes to the product.
• Facilitate Product Advisory Board Meetings or similar forums for feature prioritization with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Understanding of the competitive landscape.
• Develop detailed specifications for new features and improvements that can be clearly understood by the development team.
• Work closely with engineering/development team when the product is under development for a release.
• High level product testing.
• Successfully manage internal and external relationships.
• Attendance and facilitation of client meetings and other stakeholders to obtain feedback.
• Consultant enablement and training on the products.
• Handing over the products to the consulting/services team to be able to implement the tax products.
• Creating and managing the implementation documentation to enable the consulting team.
• Sales enablement and training on the products and demonstrations.
• Assisting with and management of marketing collateral for the products.
• Maintain and improve the Continuous Monitoring/Continuous Auditing knowledge and competency of oneself and the company.

Requirements:

• Completed four-year B Com Honors Degree in Internal Auditing, Tax or Accounting.
• Three year’s minimum internal audit / audit / assurance experience (completed articles would be a good example of this).
• Newly qualified CA(SA) or CIA, preferably with 1 year, current post-articles experience as Assistant Manager or Consultant within the Internal Audit / Indirect Tax / Tax departments in a large audit firm, with a keen interest in data analytics.
• If currently in a corporate Internal Audit / Indirect Tax / Tax role, the experience gained in the Internal Audit / Indirect Tax / Tax departments of an audit firm should not be more than 3 years prior.
• Internal audit experience or projects.

What will make the incumbent succesful in the role?

An individual with internal audit and tax experience, and who is technologically inclined is the best starting point, but someone with an entrepreneurial attitude who is willing to challenge the norms and actively sees the future of technology in internal audit, finance and tax will truly succeed in this role.
