    Asset Care Manager

    Job description

    Situated in our Site Engineering Department of our Operations Division, you will report into our Operations Director as you take responsibility for ensuring that all assets for Land Based Operations (LBO) are performed to optimum standards.

    You will effectively execute on the management of maintenance, engineering, planning and reliability as well as organisational skills. Through the implementation of an appropriate ACM strategy you will identify opportunities for improvement in People, Processes and/or Assets.

    Your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

    • Development of analysis, maintenance strategies and improvement program/s for all Land Based production equipment
    • Allocation of resources and prioritization of activities within planned maintenance offices Provide input into the engineering training strategy for operations
    • Develop the maintenance material management, warranty management and rotable management strategy
    • Conduct forensic investigation on equipment failures, together with managing the Defect Elimination program
    • Implement equipment performance monitoring systems, analysing downtime agencies Analyse equipment performance, conduct criticality assessment performance and implement maintenance tactic on equipment
    • Monitor work management compliance.
    • Together with your Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical), you have extensive experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment in addition to the following:
    • Postgraduate qualification/enrolment in Reliability, Asset integrity/Physical Asset Management advantageous
    •  Engineering Council South African Membership advantageous, with Government Certificate of Competence desirable/aspiration to obtain certification
    • Demonstrated skills in the management of people and resources
    • Conversant with the OHSA Act
    • Computer literate on MS Office.
