    Pricing Manager

    Job description

    • Pricing strategy.
    • Develop affiliate Pricing Policy.
    • Develop and implement price strategy for each customer segment.
    • Daily monitoring of volume, unit margin and gross margin generated by sales of petroleum products.
    • Analyze price change patterns of competitors and continuously, establish Bench Marks and other market related data on pricing and demand in order to steer short and medium term profitability.
    • Continuous monitoring of international fuel prices and sales of petroleum products
    • Maintenance of database of customers' price.
    • Create financial models (pricing tools & systems) that factor in competitive pricing while maximizing margin and volume at country level.
    • Participate in multi-functional projects provide guidance in this area of expertise.
    • Share best practices with other price analyst in the company (if applicable).
    • Pricing execution.
    • Ensure that the affiliate deliver margin and volume objectives based on daily supply costs.
    • Ensure pricing strategy, tools and systems provide clear guidance to sales teams.
    • Manage relationship with Trading and Sales Managers, providing guidance, coaching, bridging interfaces and communicate best practices.
    • Ensure price strategy is aligned with network plans & investments.
    • Ensure that all pricing conditions by customers are implemented with zero inaccuracy.
    • Generate pricing reports with timely and accurate information (eg Gross Margin report by customer).
    • Supervision.
    • Responsible for supervising the Pricing activities in the Affiliate. Ensures processes are executed following appropriate control standards (Pricing Policy) and complying with all company policies.
    • Accountable for supervising pricing analysis in day to day activity.
    • Cost Management
    • Ensure alignment of supply price and sales price periodicity to guarantee expected margin.
    • Guarantee Correct purchase price is uploaded in the ERP system.
    • Identify Cost savings by leading initiatives with sales, Operation and taxation teams.
    • Provide detailed analysis on customer pricing, Historical data and Margin Performance. Clearly identify opportunities for increased margin management and customer portfolio upgrading and advice sales teams.
    • Ongoing analysis of discounts and volumes to ensure that value is maximized.
    • People development.
    • Creates a positive environment that promotes and recognizes individual and team efforts. Develops the necessary skills and capabilities within the team to achieve the business goals and objectives.
    • Provide Pricing Induction, Training, and Support & Coaching to all Pricing analysts in the Africa Region to improve Pricing Competencies.
    • Political Stakeholders.
    • Represent the company’s welfare with the industry players and governmental entities.
    • Research and report to Business Support Manager all political related information that can affect the company’s business plan.
    • Attend meetings with government and other industry entities while ensuring no price sharing at such meeting
