A vacancy exists within Northern Timber Sawmill in Tzaneen for a suitably qualified and experienced

The successful incumbent will reside on the Estates and will report directly to the Operations Manager for Silviculture. The following criteria will apply:

Position Specifications:

• Matric Certificate with Mathematics and Science.
• Must be in possession of a BSc/B Tech Degree or a National Diploma in Forestry.
• Minimum of 3 years’ appropriate experience in a forestry operation involving. silviculture.
• Co-ordination of contractor’s activities and applicable estates under his/her control.

Person Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate at all levels.
• Must be prepared to reside at the estate.
• Must be able to supervise teams and improve productivity
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently and execute work plans.
