Roles and responsibilities:

• Purchasing of F&B stock
• Stock control
• Storage control
• Goods receiving
• Monthly stock takes
• Planning and carrying out of F&B budgets
• Assisting the food & beverage department with budgets
• Costing of menus for restaurant and coffee shop
• Relevant financial reports and other financial duties

Qualifications and requirements:

• A hospitality diploma, or higher qualification, and experience in similar positions in the hospitality field
• A valid South African ID
• A minimum of four years food and beverage senior management experience within a four/five-star environment

The candidate should possess the following:

• Great verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive attitude
• Excellent forecasting and budgeting skills
• Strong people skills
• A good understanding of inventory management systems
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities

The Aleit Group, renowned for its spectacular, high-end events, has been appointed by the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) as the exclusive restaurant and event operator throughout the museum. This includes the management of the restaurant and venue on level six, as well as all events hosted within the museum. The Aleit Group is looking for a strong Food and Beverage Manager to be part of their opening team at Zeitz MOCAA. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in the food and beverage industries with upmarket, large scale restaurants and/or five-star hotels.
