Electrical Engineer (Planning) at Aurecon

Overall Purpose:

Aurecon’s Energy Unit based in Tshwane is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team offering a full planning, design and consulting service to our clients across the African continent with a specific focus on strategic electrical infrastructure planning and associated consulting services to large electrical utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate and Lead strategic infrastructure planning aspects across a range of projects;
• Maintain client relationships and identify business opportunities;
• Close liaison with the Sector Leaders and active involvement and support with EOI's, proposals and tenders;
• Provide technical excellence and quality of work on all unit projects;

Qualifications and Experience:

• Sc or B.Eng (Electrical Engineering),
• At least 3 years post graduate experience,
• Extensive experience in:
• Strategic Electrical infrastructure planning,
• Conceptual and detailed infrastructure planning,
• Project Feasibility and Due-diligence studies,
• Grid Integration studies,
• Utility and Country Demand and Energy Forecasts,
• Electrical Infrastructure renewal and refurbishment planning,
• Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of:
• DigSilent Powerfactory,
• PowerGLF,
• Power Office & Retic Master,
• ESRI’s ArcView and ArcGIS, and
• MS Office.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and be client facing
