    Business Software Manager

    Description

    The Business Software Manager is skilled at identifying, diagnosing, and implementing various business software services. Has deep knowledge of business software and accounting trends. S/he is responsible for supervising business software client projects and related activities. S/he demonstrates leadership qualities, business acumen, assumes a supervisory role, develops staff and delegates work to Technical Leads, Senior Consultants and Consultants effectively. The Manager follows office procedures to meet firm wide requirements of quality control.

    Work Activities & Accountabilities

    The below functions reflect the general details of the essential work activities and accountabilities of this position and are not all inclusive. Other activities may be assigned.

    • Business Software: Works with team to supervise and manage business software services. Provides high level support to clients and teams related to coordinating or resolving business software challenges. Plans, executes, and acts as a subject matter expert for required disciplines. Oversees development and implementation of business software solutions for clients. Works with team to identify where business software solutions could enhance client services and products.
    • Managing Engagements: Plans and organizes engagements, delegating assignments appropriately based on team strengths and passions. Works leaders to review, correct, and provide direction to ensure consulting engagements are managed appropriately. Builds relationships with the clients that help facilitate future growth and integration of value added services. Ensures successful completion of assigned client engagements.
    • Managing Operations: Provides operations management for the practice area, including managing the business processes and resolving operational issues. Provides administration for the practice area, including managing WIP and AR. Prepares presentations and insights for firm management and staff of business software developments and issues.
    • Travel: Less than 10%

    Organizational Interfaces

    The Business Software Manager reports directly to the appropriate principal on business software projects/engagements. S/he regularly interacts with external clients, internal staff, technical leads and others on assigned projects.

    Requirements

    Required Experience & Education

    • Experience: Minimum of six years of experience developing and implementing business software (Adaptive Insight preferred) and a minimum of three years project management/supervisory experience required.
    • Education: BS/BA degree in computer science, information technology, finance, or a related field. MBA optional.
    • Certifications/Licenses: Adaptive Insight certification required.
