Trainee Property Manager at PEP

Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To undergo a training programme in order to become competent for the position of Property Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Property Manager to identify and evaluate new opportunities
• Assist to negotiate leases for new stores and Distribution Centers
• Liaise with landlords
• Assist in the Renewal of existing leases
• Assist in preparing Presentations to Board for approval
• Administration and recordkeeping of all property related processes
• Ad hoc tasks.

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12
• Tertiary qualification (preferably in Property Studies or Construction Management)
• Exposure to the retail industry would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Computer Literate (MS Office)
• Willing to travel (including African countries)
• Posses drive, energy, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring that the potential for all new property developments is captured and explored for Pepkor
• Well-organised and analytical strong
• Able to function independently, detail orientation, problem assessment
