Job description
- Are you dynamic, looking to make a difference in the HE sector, eager to work with exciting technologies?
- Are you based in South Africa and have South African citizenship? If so, please read the requirements below.
- We are looking for a mid-level developer to join our dynamic team and to develop and support applications written in Java, Javascript and other UI technologies.
- Experience in Kafka, REST, Jax-RS, SOAP webservices or Jax-ws would be advantageous.
Working knowledge of relational databases Oracle or MYSQL would be advantageous..

Desired Skills and Experience
- 3-7 years programming experience in Java and/or Javascript.
- Experience in web based projects, MVC architecture and RESTfull Service architecture.
- Experience in using Eclipse, Maven, JBOSS or Tomcat.
- Knowledge of J2EE, UML, Web services.
- Knowledge of Jboss, Tomcat or NodeJS.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
