Established in the 1960's in SA, our client has grown into a major global retailer with a diverse portfolio of brands operating on four continents. Having over 5 wholly owned subsidiaries, they operate over 3500 stores world wide. Currently having over 35,000 people under their employment, their main focus is on the cash value sector of the retail clothing and footwear. Such a wide spread network of outlets relies on a busy real estate team to source new sites, manage installations or special projects, as well as maintain each store. To assist the Property Management team is an opportunity for a Trainee Property Manager to be based in Centurion. Your core responsibility is to assist the Property Manager to identify and evaluate new opportunities to develop new stores, through refurbishments, vacant spaces and opportunities within off-plan developments. Leasing will also fall under your responsibilities, by assisting with renewals, managing lease negotiations for new and existing spaces. As you will be dealing directly with some of the biggest Landlords in South Africa, it will be expected, as well as beneficial, for you to develop strong relationships with them and expand your property network. You must have strong MS PowerPoint skills to assist in the preparation of all presentations. The ideal candidate for this role will have completed Matric with a tertiary qualification preferably in Construction Management. Exposure to the retail industry combined with you excellent communication and negotiation skills will be a great advantage.
