Purpose Of The Job

Our national IT Internal Audit Services practice assists clients in understanding and effectively managing existing and emerging IT risks.This involves a strong focus on all aspects of our clients’ technology infrastructure and includes assessing risk, evaluating control effectiveness, identifying weaknesses, and developing solutions.

We have a current vacancy for an experienced candidate who will participate in and lead teams to deliver IT internal audit, risk management and IT governance services to a wide variety of clients across all industries while providing clients with real, value added consulting and auditing services and enhancing the image of KPMG in the market place.

Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

• Performing / assisting with business/IT risk assessments and internal audit planning strategies
• Developing and reviewing IT internal audit programs and procedures
• Executing and supervising IT internal audit assignments
• Identifying weak/problem areas, document findings, developing effective corrective action plans and following up on implementation of the corrective action
• Preparing reports and discussion/negotiation thereof at a functional level and presentations of findings to clients
• Ad Hoc Projects and research assignments
• Management/supervision, training, coaching, development and mentoring of junior staff
• Continuous improvement and updating of technical knowledge
• Increase on current levels of service delivery, quality and client satisfaction
• Assisting with department administration
• Reviewing, rating and performance management of subordinate staff
• Team leadership (should have supervised teams previously)
• Project Management including resource planning, budgeting and management of progress against budget, billing and collections, quality assurance and risk management on engagements
• Develop internal and external client relationships.
• Operating with senior level stakeholders
• Selling additional services to existing clients and developing new business

Qualifications And Experience

• Completed Bcom (Internal Audit or Information Systems) or BSC (Computer Science) and Honours is preferred
• CA(SA) , CIA or CISA certification an advantage.
• Minimum of four years relevant working experience, preferably from a Big 4 Consulting Environment
