We’re a rapidly expanding legal consulting and software business with a client base of over 40 listed companies and a broad range of innovative legal solutions in development. Leave timekeeping / fee targets behind and work as part of a small team of top lawyers and advocates in our award-winning business.

We’re looking for a junior attorney who is excited about working with technology to solve problems, to automate contracting and compliance processes, and to build long-term legal solutions for corporate clients.

The role includes in-depth training on our proprietary IT systems that will allow you to build decision-tree questionnaires and dynamic contracts, as well as integrating legal compliance and reporting services for our blue chip clients. You’ll work closely with experienced lawyers and there are ample opportunities to take on diverse roles as you grow within our niche team.

To be considered for the position, you’ll need the following:

• Completion of your articles, with commercial law, drafting experience (preferably in one of South Africa’s large law firms);
• Excellent writing skills and professionalism;
• A methodical approach to tasks with real attention to detail;
• Problem-solving skills that will allow you to adopt a logical, step-by-step process to working with software systems and building solutions;
• The focus and intelligence to engage in detailed, in-depth analysis of legal contracts in order to build step-by-step processes that automate legal drafting, compliance and business intelligence;
• A willingness to adapt and grow into a broad range of roles. This could include the review of corporate precedents, legal research and drafting and the legal support of existing clients.
