    Regional Marketing Manager

    Job description

    The purpose of the Regional Marketing Manager is to establish top of mind awareness in both local and regional markets, associating the Performanta brand with Trust and the Global vision of Securing the Customers World together.

    The primary role of the Regional Marketing Manager is to establish and maintain the Performanta Brand, in both the local and regional market landscape, as a leading Information Security and Managed Security Services Provider.  This person will work closely with the local and regional sales organisation and other key stakeholders to assist on a wide variety of marketing projects, including brand awareness and pipeline generation through campaign creation and delivery, vendor relations and co-marketing through partnerships and event activities.

    The responsibilities of the Regional Marketing Manager will include building an integrated marketing plan for the region, overseeing the execution of regional marketing initiatives, from planning to execution and measuring results and reporting on ROI.

    The successful candidate must be and energised self-starter, outgoing, proactive and hands-on with excellent written and vocal communication skills. He/she should have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be well structured, organised and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.

    Minimum Level of technical skills & competancies:

    • Marketing – Interpersonal and communication skills, an understanding of the needs of the client to be able to translate these needs into a marketing campaign.
    • Copywriting – contribute to the ideas stage of planning a campaign, writing copy for marketing materials and work with designer for layout and creation of content.
    • Teamwork – work with others towards a coordinated campaign which may involve many different elements and media. Work to ensure the needs of the client are met for an effective campaign.
    • Relationships – Strong networking and relationship skills to work alongside vendors for efficient and effective partnerships
    • Commercial awareness – an understanding of the market, consumer wants and needs and the business requirements of the client are essential.
    • Communications - Knowledge of communication and dissemination methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.

    Minimum Level of Expertise:

    • Proven skills in Marketing (Campaign)
    • Delivery of quality results through an effective attention to process and detail
    • Proven understanding and awareness of current developments in the prevailing global Cyber Security environment
    • An ability to work pro-actively and independently
    • Minimum 5-10 years in marketing role, proven track record
    • Experience in the Information Technology/Information security industry advantageous
    • 2+ years B2B marketing communications experience
    • A proven track record in developing highly effective B2B content
    • Basic technical understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, web publishing, Flash, etc. is a plus
    • Fluency in web analytics tools, social media marketing applications and leading social media monitoring platforms

    Outstanding editing, writing and content development skills
    Minimum Qualifications & Certificates:

    • Matric
    • BCom in Marketing Management
    • BCom (Hons) Marketing Management (advantageous)
    • Relevant vendor certifications (advantageous)
