    CAD Operator

    Job Responsibilities:

    Golder Associates Africa is seeking a CAD Operator to provide the guidelines and technical details of the product or structure that is being built. The successful candidate will be part of the Mine Waste Division based in the Midrand office.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare drawings and blueprints and know how to prepare manual drawings for certain applications.
    • Draw maps, diagrams or plans for waste related infrastructure (tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, pollution control dams etc.).
    • Review data from engineers and technicians to ensure that they conform to design.
    • Create project designs, catching design errors or flaws and convert sketches or specifications of the project or product; from an architect, engineer, or other designer; into detailed CAD drawings.
    • Management of workloads for the CAD team

    Qualification And Experience

    Job Requirements:

    • Training in multiple CAD programs and platforms, general computing theory and a variety of productivity applications.
    • CAD and draughing certification
    • Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ relevant experience in drawings and /or design
    • Proven AutoCAD and Civil Designer or Civil3D experience
    • Experience of 3D modelling in AutoCAD
    • Knowledge in basic algebra and geometry which is used in calculating figures and amounts including the discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume.
    • Can interpret instruction either written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Proficient in latest AutoCAD and Civil Designer or Civil3D experience, Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
