    Digital Designer

    Job description

    Introduction

    Promasidor is looking to bring on board an experienced Digital Designer with 4-5 years experience. The incumbent will work on FMCG brands in the dairy, beverage and food categories and will be responsible for designing content that will encourage consumer engagement, boost awareness and the use of our products.. The role is Pan- African as Promasidor sells its products in 31 African countries.

    As a Designer the incumbent will be required to create exceptional images that showcase content, provide context and enhance our customers’ user experiences across our digital platforms.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design a variety of image types to support all digital requirements.
    • Interpret and translate product and business briefs.
    • Work with content creators to ensure that designs are implemented easily and effectively.
    • Execute last minute demands, and deliver within quick turn-around times.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve collective goals; understand the viewpoints and perceptions of others; be sensitive to team dynamics and build trust and confidence in others.
    • Share knowledge and assist in developing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

    Job / Skill Requirements

    • Expertise in working with the Adobe Product Suite.
    • Graphic design qualification and/or a strong design portfolio to support application
    • Fundamental understanding of good design principles.
    • Understanding of multi-platform layouts and standards.
    • Understanding of usability and interactive design concepts.
    • Understanding of adaptive, responsive techniques.
    • Publishing to a content management system.
    • A demonstrable history of creative flair working to brand guidelines and an ability to demonstrate a consistency in adherence to a brand identity
    • Creative skills to find engaging ways of presenting information and to generate new ideas with an outstanding eye for design and detail
    • A drive to keep abreast of all new functionalities and techniques made available through new software upgrades and advancing technology capabilities
    • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve deadlines
    • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
