    Sales Representative Lowveld

    Purpose of the Job

    • To sell and promote Heineken Beverages’ Brand portfolio by creating brand awareness and building brands in line with strategic objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Achieve monthly sales targets through new business and upselling current customers.
    • Use data to inform customers’ understanding of which products can help them reach their goals and how to achieve this.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future deals.
    • Present products to customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner
    • Conducting market research to keep up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
    • Build and maintain a strong brand image.
    • Communicate and collaborate with other members of the sales and marketing team.
    • Drive and maintain Accessibility, Affordability, Availability and Activation
    • Run price driven promotions.
    • Maintain call strike rate in accordance with targets.
    • Share and implement new ideas regarding sales and improving effectiveness of the sales teams and/ or the effectiveness of marketing activities.
    • Take responsibility for personal improvement and skills development.

    Job Requirements

    Education

    • A bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry training and certifications are an advantage.

    Experience

    • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience
    • Relevant experience within the Alcoholic Beverage or broader FMCG industry would be preferable.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Numerical and business acumen experience
    • High levels of energy, persistence, drive as well as a sense of urgency.
    • The ability to work optimally in a high performance and competitive environment.
    • Ability to plan realistically and take action to deliver on time.
    • Excellent negotiating skills to gain commitment to solutions by using your influencing and networking skills.
    • Have a passion for customer service by making clients and their needs a primary focus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • High versatility to adapt to changing environment.

    Inventory Clerk

    Stock Planning

    • Check depot days of cover daily and communicate with Planning if required 
    • Report all stock outs to depot, sales and Planning 
    • Liaise with planning to resolve stock issues  
    • Reduce write-offs and losses to a minimum. 
    • Ensure optimal stock availability and stock rotation 

    Stock Take Procedures  

    • Participate and assist in inventory counts as prescribed in company policies and procedures 

    Issuing and receiving stock 

    • Assist with issuing and receiving of primary and secondary distribution shipments on SAP when required 

    Customer Service 

    • Maintain highest possible level of customer service. (Internal and external) 
    • Ensure customer complaints are solved swiftly and efficiently. 

    Risk Control 

    • Manage stock movements and documentation in accordance with the ICC and Internal/External Audit controls. 
    • Ensure that stacking heights are maintained. 
    • Risk Audits Conducted 

    Quality Control 

    • Ensure routine Quality Control inspections in Distribution Centre. 
    • Ensure quality control checks on receipt of stock and before despatch of stock 
    • Ensure FIFO principle is applied to stock movements by printing bin pulling sheets for warehouse 
    • Adherence to stock age policy, ensure that all concessions are raised and approved 
    • Assist in administering the execution of the product recall process at site level 
    • Frozen stock must be physically isolated on floor  
    • Monitor outer packaging quality 

    Route settlement corrections 

    • Process customer and driver corrections as required 
    • Assign variance reasons to all driver and customer corrections 
    • Check all Route Settlement Corrections invoices have been recorded in register and sent to customers for signature 
    • Track and resolve missing and unsigned invoices within the specified timeframe 

    Routine Administration 

    • Capture missing broken and foreign survey data 
    • Generate and archive stock age concessions and link to shipments that are received out of specification 
    • Ensure all invoice queries from customers and transporters are resolved 
    • Reporting on missing documents and errors found  
    • Quality Audits Conducted 

    Audit Adherence 

    • Understanding, implementation and adherene to Internal Control Measures such as:  
    • ICC’s  
    • ISO requirements 
    • Operations Excellence

    Cellar Machine Operator

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Operates, attends, start and stop power driven machines and Scada 
    • Scrutinizes or checks the work done by machine
    • Pump and pipeline preparations
    • Ensure quality standards are adhered to (quality checks)
    • Perform physical sampling from trucks and tanks
    • Perform physical tank readings and sampling
    • Attend and participate in MDT (mission direct teams) & Workplace Improvement

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Technical Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Technical orientated.
    • 1 – 2 years relevant experience in Cellars environment
    • NQF Level 3 Packaging Diploma an advantage
    • Must be able to work with little supervision
    • Physical healthy and strong
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Willingness to work overtime and on Saturdays as required

    Admin Controller

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist with compiling the annual OPEX budget and forecast processes
    • Review the OPEX Budget on a monthly basis and report variances
    • Monthly Internal Control Checklists (ICC’s), including monthly Procurement ICC’s
    • Control purchasing and payment of vendors in line with budget
    • Monthly issuing of stocks and preparing journals when required
    • Management of the general office administration
    • Responsible for all personnel related administration when required
    • Ensure accurate and timeous submission of monthly payroll information
    • Actively participate in all relevant TPM activities
    • Ad hoc administration duties as required

    The successful candidate must preferably have the following experience/skills/attributes:

    • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Commerce, will be highly advantageous
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
    • Advanced Computer skills (MS Office suite, SAP would be an advantage)
    • Must be able to work accurately under pressure with minimal supervision
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
    • Strong organisational abilities
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Must be willing to work irregular hours when required
    • Punctuality and attendance reliability​​​​​​​
