    Debtors Manager

    Job description

    The ideal incumbent is a passionate and seasoned Debtors Manager in the Finance department. The incumbent should meet the criteria listed below:

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5 - 8 years' experience working in a similar role
    • Experience in a full-service corporate law firm (advantageous)
    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • Proficient in MS Office 2007 / 2010, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • DM5 and AJS System experience is advantageous

    JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Full debtors function and accounting to trial balance
    • Daily posting of business and trust accounts
    • Advocate postings and payments
    • Debtors account reconciliations
    • Processing and payment of consultants collection commission
    • General ledger postings
    • Write offs and credit notes
    • Foreign payments
    • Payment of advocates, sheriffs, correspondents
    • Perform collecting of overdue debt on the age analysis and giving feedback to the CFO and CEO
    • Communication with clients (verbal and written)
    • Examine the bank statements on a daily basis and perform the daily cash allocations on the Client accounts.
    • Ensure that all debtor’s invoicing, reconciliations, allocation of payments and other financial entries are accurate and up to date on all the systems
    • Resolving queries from clients timeously
    • General administration – filing, e-mails, faxes
