Mirum Cape Town is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join the team.
Here's how you’d be adding value:- Working on a wide range of projects using modern server-side (Java and Groovy) and client-side (JavaScript) programming languages
- Collaborating closely with front-end engineers to ensure successful back-end code integration with front-end templates
- Delivering work that complies with our company quality standards
- Accurately accounting for time spent on client projects on timesheets
- Researching and staying ahead of key technical developments and innovations within the industry
- Devising innovative technical solutions to challenges
- Supporting junior team members by reviewing their work and providing useful and constructive feedback
We figure you'd need the following:
- A degree or diploma in a computer science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- At least 5 years’ experience with Java or Groovy
- At least 3 years’ database development experience using SQL and JDBC or an ORM tool like Hibernate
- 3 years’ Grails, Spring MVC, Struts or other MVC based web framework experience
- 3 years’ experience with HTML and CSS and JavaScript
- Git, Subversion or similar version control experience
