Purpose of the Job:

We are looking for a person who is highly motivated that will have to redesign the computer network and applying the standards defined by the overseas Corporate office.

The ideal candidate must have suitable qualifications and who has gained significant experience in managing IT networks and must be able to perform active directory migrations.

Some project experience essential.

Experience Areas:

• Appropriate Industry Certification/Diploma in Information Technology (CCNA, MCITP, MCSE, N+,Linux+ Security+)
• 5 years’ experience in network administration for networks (Microsoft and Linux).
• 5+ years’ experience working in the IT industry.
• Experience in network operations, applicable standards, governance structures and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
• Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies (DevDops) will be beneficial.
• Proven experience in planning, organization, and development.
• Ability to engage with Senior Level positions
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Primary Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas:
• Plan, install, configure, update, and monitor network, devices, and applications
• Relationship with vendor support to repair hardware failures or basic software installed by meeting the defined service levels, as well as, where possible, solving the problems encountered independently
• Ensure continuous availability of systems and ensure security of information
• Ensure and maintain the integrity of the network and its security
• Maintain updated hardware / software inventory and all the documentation that concerns the machine/software installed
• Document the applied standards
• Manage the administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, security and patches.
• Some project experience essential.

Technical Competencies:

• Past experience in networking, routing and switching
• Server (Microsoft/Linux) management, control and monitoring capabilities
• Ability to configure and install new windows servers
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software & hardware tools and related execution, management and maintenance methodologies
• Ability to organize your work by defining the priorities of intervention autonomously
• Strong Technical-system knowledge of virtual environments (eg Vmware, Hyper-V ..)
• The maintenance and monitoring of network switches, routers, firewalls, etc., and activities such as network address assignment, assignment of routing protocols and routing table configuration.
• The maintenance of network facilities, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, etc.
• Perform network design and capacity planning.
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
• Establish service level agreements with end users.
• Administer and maintain end user permissions, and access rights to the network.
• Perform Network backups and recovery.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
• Manage ISP and internet connections.
