Role Purpose

Reporting to the IT Development Manager, the successful candidate will drive the process and contribute towards the successful implementation and support of the development operations. The successful incumbent will work within the development team in accordance with the prescribed architecture and standards, implementing as required within the agreed upon timeframes.

Responsibilities and work outputs

• Managing systems, security and IT teams;
•  Leveraging experience within application architecture and DevOps to carry out pilots and implementation of the best fit tools to develops the Quality Engineer pipeline;
• Coming up with innovative ideas to drive the automation through the project life cycle to build the pipeline • Building the Artefacts and deploying across the environments;
• Escalating live errors and service problems to the relevant stakeholders to limit downtime and resolve the problems immediately; • Monitoring of system health;
• Supporting the delivery of excellent client service to ensure the clients expectations are met;
• Meeting all deliverables and objectives set out by the business within the agreed timeframe; and • Driving and supporting effective teamwork within the department

• Chef / Puppet / Docker;
•  Source Code Management Tools - RTC, UCD (UrbanCode) experience is a must;
• Administration of Open Source Apps - NodeJS, MongoDB, NGINX;

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification; • IT, Engineering degree or National diploma preferred; and • Minimum 5 years of development operations support essential
