    Retail Procurement Planner

    Job description

    • RUN / REVIEW FORECAST MODEL
      • Ensure lead times correct
      • Ensure review periods correct
      • Ensure store profiles are correct
    • REVIEW SUGGESTED PLANNED ORDERS
      • Ensure orders placed and followed up by expeditors
      • Ensure forecasting of future planned orders (rolling 6 months)
      • Ensure availability requirements met
      • Ensure prices on orders are checked to ensure acceptable gross profits
    • PROMOTIONS
      • New / Promo lines order quantities checked to suggested requirement
      • New /Promo suggested orders obtained & understood
    • STOCK BALANCING / REDISTRIBUTION
      • Stock levels balanced between branches in order to reduce order quantities
      • Advise buyers of overstock and obsolete stock and suggest action plans to rectify

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Matric essential
    • A minimum of five years Planning experience in a Retail/Wholesale Planning function
    • Software application experience in MS Excel and MS Word. Procurement system knowledge would be an advantage

    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Good presentation skills
    • Good time management skills
