Area Farm Manager - (600 Hectare / Citrus / other permanent crops) at CA Global

Job Description:
 
We are looking for dynamic individual responsible for various farms totaling up to 600 ha in an area.
 
Responsibilities:

• HR
• Organogram design and implementation.
• Lead a management team to manage farms according to high standards.
• Oversee implementation of company policies and statutory requirements.
• Measurement and feedback of management performance.
• Implement measuring and feedback models in all departments of the production of fruit in area.
• Production
• Oversee that all practices with regards to soil, fertilizer, water and light management is optimally done.
• Admin and finance
• Manage an admin finance team so that all requirements with regards to budgets, management accounts and admin is done according to expected standards.
• Logistics
• Oversee all logistics e.g. harvesting, spraying etc.
• Tenders
• Strategic
• Be on the lookout and propose strategic actions for the benefit of the company.
• Maintenance
• Oversee that all maintenance is done according to company standards.
• Profitability
• Drive all processes in order to maximize long term profits.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Degree in Agriculture and or experience in managing larger units of farming will be advantageous.
• Previous solid experience with soft peel fruits is essential
