Job description

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the management of quality systems which includes supervising and coordinating work systems to ensure that the products or services of the company meet the highest quality, safety, health standards, while meeting business objectives and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the business management systems (quality systems)
• Manage supplier quality
• Manage quality risk
• Manage internal and external audits
• Manage business documentation
• Manage non-conformities
• Manage project quality
• Provide training and awareness

Qualification & Experience

• Matric
• Electronics/electrical OR mechanical engineering degree or diploma is essential
• Formal training in ISO standards implementation (14001 : 2015 and 9001 : 2015), quality engineering tools and methods, people management and SHEQ systems audit is essential
• Lean Six Sigma certification, risk management and project management are advantageous
• At least 3 years’ experience in development, implementation and maintenance of a certified SHEQ system and supplier quality audit processes, part qualification processes, performance management and development processes
• Experience in implementing 2015 versions of ISO standards is essential
• Experience in SHEQ systems management
• Experience in application of Statistical Process Control techniques in manufacturing and inspection processes
• Quality engineering experience in research and development and manufacturing of electrical/electronic products
• Experience in maintenance of compliance with Environmental and OHS Act
• Valid drivers’ licence
