Job description

Main Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Western and Eastern Cape transport team.
• This will include the preparation of conceptual designs, bridge reports, hydraulic calculations, soil and topographical survey requirements, preliminary and detailed designs, bills of quantities, cost estimates, design budgets
• Working with Project Managers to ensure deliverables are met timeously and within budget
• Preparation of drawings via a team of draughtpersons
• Client relationship management
• Travel to sites to attend site meetings
• Liaising with Engineers Representatives and Project Engineers, addressing technical site queries
• Adhering to quality management systems

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience

• BSc or B.Eng Civil Engineering
• Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng)
• A minimum of 5-10 years experience in Civil Engineering - structures / bridges
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Prokon or some form of computer aided design package. Sofistik preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Revit preferred but not required
• Computer literacy
