Purpose of Job /Role Intent:

• In accordance with the Sasol Assurance Services (SAS) Charter as approved by the Sasol Limited Audit Committee:
• Assist in the execution of ECRM deep dive reviews and act in the role of aeconomic crime subject matter expert.
• Manage the execution of reviews to be within budgeted planned hours.
• Ensure timely reporting of assigned tasks.
• Ensure that the quality of tasks executed are aligned with the Sasol Assurance Services Operating Manual (SASOM).
• Integrate with other departments with regard to knowledge sharing on audit tasks being managed and executed.
• Assist with Forensic Investigations and/ or Generalist /Projects and Combined Assurance audits as economic crime subject matter expert.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required

• Preferred: B.Com Hons with completed TIPP articles
• 3-5 years relevant experience of which four years must be in a forensic/ economic crime risk environment

Subject matter expertise:

• Computer literacy at a technical level to enable/ direct data analyses

Key accountabilities

• Audit Task Planning
• Perform Planning for the specific area/ subject to be reviewed.
• Conduct subject relevant research on area to be reviewed.
• Conduct specific ad-hoc request as and when required.
• Execute special requests by the Audit Committee as and when required.
• Assist other functions within SAS as and when required.
• Audit execution
• Execute tasks in terms of the SASOM.
• Ensure audit evidence to support reported findings for all reviews performed.
• Ensure the usage of CAATS/ Data Analytics to execute reviews where applicable.
• Reporting
• Draft reports on finalisation of tasks to reflect the findings gathered during the review on own tasks.
• Assist with the review of working papers and reports of other team members.
• Adhere to reporting principles as set out in the SASOM.
• Quality control
• Conduct review of working papers for allocated reviews.
• Assist in the review of working papers of other team members as and when required.
• Ensure quality requirements as per the Sasol Assurance Services Operating manual are observed.
• Specialist advice
• On request review policies and procedures with and ECRM focus.
• Continual requests for specialist ECRM advice on best practice on Group Policy and other initiatives within Sasol.

• Economic Crime

• Assist in the development of EC prevention activities to be executed as per the risk based annual assurance plan.
• Assist in the development of EC training content targeted at stakeholders and other individuals/ groups as and when required.
• Assist in the facilitations of EC awareness and forensic investigative training, when required to do so.
• Assist in the preparation for/ conduct EC and Ethics awareness presentations e.g. New Employee Induction Programme.
• Assist in the drafting of group wide communications to drive awareness and mitigation of EC risk.
• Keep abreast of local and global trends and developments in EC and how to detect same.
• Assist in the development of skills of team members with regards to governance, risk management and economic crime related areas.
