Job description

We are looking for a technical person for sales of Process Instrumentation. The candidate should have a good electrical (light current) and instrumentation back round, and previous sales experience would be an advantage, but not a necessity. They must be prepared to travel and drive extensive distances from time to time, as well as be able to work on their own without constant supervision.

We need an enthusiastic go getter!

A list of duties follows, however, it may not be limited to these:

• Gaining clear understanding of the instrumentation products and their functionality in the company portfolio.
• Technical back up for the internal and external sales teams
• Test and assess all instruments that are sent for repair
• Calibration of instruments, when required
• Maintaining an up-to-date filing system of calibrations and projects
• Installations and fault finding on site, when required
• Actively engaging in business development activities when onsite visits, such as cold calling, industry networking, referrals and utilising marketing materials
• Help with the gathering of customer information to identify new opportunities and developing those into sales
• Demonstrating products, and providing after sales training and service
• Completing weekly activity reports
• Developing PowerPoint presentations and presenting the information to clients
• Managing expenses within budget guidelines
• Maintaining Excel spreadsheets

Salary will consist of:

• Basic plus commission
• Car allowance and fuel
• Medical and pension allowance negotiable
