Group & South Africa HSE Manager at 3C Metal

Job description

3C Metal is a company delivering turnkey structural and piping engineering, manufacturing and installation solutions, mainly for the Oil and Gas Industry with subsidiaries in France, South Africa, Dubai, Malaysia and Namibia.

Based in 3C Metal’s office in Cape Town and reporting to the Group Managing Director and to South Africa General Manager, your mission will be to:

• For 3CMETAL South Africa:
• Manage the company HSE system and the HSE Department and implement improvement
• Prepare, validate and report on company safety statistics.
• Communicate on company HSE policies and system and develop actions to maintain and develop personnel HSE awareness
• Coordinate and manage company Safety Committee
• Assist Project Engineers to reply to clients’ requests and coordinate HSE aspects of the projects
• Manage Building, facility and equipment (Security system, new works,
• Manage compliant company scrapping and waste procedures, the flammable stores and the hazardous wastes
• For 3CMETAL Group:
• Review current HSE policies, practices and management systems across the group and make recommendations to create a group HSE policy and program.
• Manage HSE communication within the group
• Review existing HSE training and develop new training programs or media to maintain and increase HSE awareness and proficiency in safe practices within the group
• Propose and provide HSE KPI’s, records and reports
• Work closely with subsidiaries HSE representatives and General Managers to ensure they comply with local regulations and assist them optimizing their HSE Management system
• Work closely with operations and project managers to help them to reply to customers HSE requests.
• Attend site visits (on-shore and off-shore) and customers meetings if and when required

Candidate profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience of HSE management in the industrial sector
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HSE Management or related field
• Computer literacy especially in Excel and Powerpoint
• Strategic Orientation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Project Management and Organization
• Able to make and deliver training
• Remuneration commensurate with experience
