Job description

This Pricing and Sensing Specialist is responsible for regular updating and management of the Pricing & Sensing processes to support business goals in line with global guidelines. This is a key role with respect to management of our profitability in line with achieving our Champion 2020 vision.

Reports to :

Marketing Director

Minimum Requirements for this position:

• University degree in industrial engineering, economics, management, statistics or comparable is needed. Master and or any other further qualification in a related area is appreciated
• 3-4 years of work experience preferably in a strategic planning/pricing related role
• Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications – esp. Excel and modelling capabilities
• Very high learning agility and drive to outperform
• High attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels and functions
• Strong understanding of customers’ business, applications, buying behaviours and relevant product details
• Strong commercial and marketing skills: ability to understand, build, present and communicate the value internally e.g. Marketing Waves and externally e.g. Customers
• Ability to manage operational and strategic aspects concurrently.

Your Responsibilities:

Main duties:

• Checking profitability and loading of all pricing agreements
• Loading of list price increases as and when required in line with Exchange Rate fluctuations – this is coordinated in conjunction with timeous communication to customers and coalition of relevant pricing information from the PM’s
• Managing the ASM discount pricing tool with each list price increase
• Maintain & manage the AM Price List with each list price increase
• When required – year end pricing simulation with PLS for annual pricing increase
• Management and loading of “street pricing” for HoL
• Support steering with regard to profitability
• Pricing for Growth project – work in conjunction with Pricing Manager in META to formulate and introduce trade based pricing in line with achieving our Champion 2020 vision.
• Upload & maintain Pricing for Growth changes in SAP
• Monthly trade wave reporting
• 6 monthly profitability & utilization analysis on all pricing agreement
• Annual management of ZPOT tables
• Work in conjunction with Sensing team in META to support and manage the HRP/HRM projects and update and maintain changes in SAP when required
• Facilitation of competitor insights for Competitor insight sensing – done in conjunction with the PM’s/META Sensing team as and when required. This is done by mystery shopping and expert interviews.
• ICOS – work in conjunction with the META Sensing team to manage and conduct the annual ICOS online survey.
• CCN – support this initiative with regard to setting up best practices, tracking tool and celebrating and publishing success stores
