Learnership Programme 2018 at Nkomati mine

Location: Nkomati Mine, Mpumalanga

Applications are invited for Learnership (18.2) at Nkomati Mine situated in Mpumalanga, between the city of Nelspruit and the town of Barberton, Machadodorp, Badplaas and Waterval-Boven. Nkomati Mine is a Joint Venture Between African Rainbow and Norilsk Nickel Africa.

• Electrician [x6]
• Plater Welder [x4]
• Fitter [x7]
• Rigger [x3]
• Instrument Mechanician [x3]
• Diesel Mechanics [x3]

The following qualifications and experience may be considered to be essential for the position:

• Minimum entry requirement is Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science as subject
• Must be willing to undergo extensive training for extended durations
• Will be subjected to a learnership agreement
• Will be subjected to a placement evaluation
• Medical fit to work in mining environment. underground arid surface
• N2 qualification will be advantageous

The incumbents responsible will include amongst others the following

• Attend classes every day at the training site
• Must submit to all assessment as required by training provider
• Avail themselves at all times to the training provider
• Must be willing to commit to a programme as required per learnership contract
• Must be willing to relocate for stipulated duration for training purposes

Preference will be given to the people coming from our labour sending areas (Waterval Boven, Machadodorp, Greater Badplaas, and Surrounding Farms)
