    Account Manager: Hootsuite team

    About the Job
    Overview

    • YOUKNOW is Africa’s leading social and consumer intelligence technology reseller who represents some of the world’s leading technology vendors, such as Brandwatch, Khoros, GlobalWebIndex, Hootsuite and more.
    • We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing Hootsuite department. You’ll be answering directly to the Hootsuite Product Lead. This dynamic role is multi-focused and covers two key activities;
    • 70% of the role will focus on the management of new and existing clients
    • 30% of the role will require sales assistance on managing and nurturing inbound leads.
    • This role is ideal for someone who values building relationships, and is passionate about software.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Account Management

    • Become the Hootsuite specialist in the African region
    • Maintain a frequent two-week cadence of communication with clients
    • Host monthly Hootsuite status meetings for clients
    • Run with new client training and onboarding, with assistance from the Product Lead
    • Track the client adoption of Hootsuite on a monthly basis
    • Attend and contribute to weekly internal Customer Success meetings
    • Maintain and optimize admin documents such as; client audit sheets, FAQs and Product Update Newsletters
    • Assist marketing with content such as social media and blog posts
    • Actively work with the Product Lead to renew and grow existing accounts
    • Handle and resolve client support queries
    • Keep client admin accounts updated on Pipedrive

      Business Development

    • Provide quality research on targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information;
    • Qualify and nurture leads, working with the Product Lead to close business;
    • Update information regarding all prospects and deals on Pipedrive

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric minimum. Post-graduate qualification preferred (Such as Digital Marketing or Business)
    • 2+ years of account management
    • 2+ years experience of working in Social Media preferable
    • 1+ years experience in actively using Saas or MarTech (Social Media Management and Social Listening technology is a plus)
    • Willingness to cold-call and/or engage in warm lead qualification.
    • Analytical and research skills (proven track record of building strategies and reports)
    • Strong organizational and time management skills;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Salesforce.com, Pipedrive or other CRM experience a plus;

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    • Persistent, self-driven, articulate, and conversational
    • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, friendly and supportive, team environment
    • Ability to think critically and to problem-solve (being solution-focused is key)
    • Great admin and organizational skills
    • A relevant background at an Agency or MarTech company is a massive plus!
    • Strong passion for social marketing

    PACKAGE EXPECTATIONS:

    • Base: R18k-R25k dependant on experience
    • Yearly bonus structure
    • R500 monthly data allowance
