• AVBOB is looking for a motivated and detail oriented Accountant Assistant to support the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.

• Compile and review balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations accurately and on time.
• Clear long-outstanding reconciling items in line with company policies and procedures.
• Process monthly journals accurately and within set deadlines.
• Ensure timely and accurate approval of invoices and payments.
• Capture approved budgets at the beginning of each financial year.
• Analyse financial data, identify discrepancies, and escalate problem areas to management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including VAT rules, Data Protection Act, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial processes.

Requirements

• 3-year Finance qualification.
• General Ledger reconciliation experience will be an advantage.
• Technical and Behavioural Competencies
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of financial systems.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
