As an Accountant, you will be working closely with a group of professionals supporting the local accounting team.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Generation of purchase orders for indirect supplies
• Maintenance of asset register
• Bank account processing and reconciliation
• Creditors and GRIR reconciliation
• Debtors reconciliation and intercompany transactions
• Inventory costing, reconciliation and analysis
• Month end accruals and other journals
• Supporting schedules for monthly management accounts
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and income statement account analysis
• Audit file preparation
• Contacting other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve common problems.
• Handling special projects as assigned.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Have qualifications of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Have detail-oriented characteristics.
• Have familiarity with standard office machines.
• Have proficiency in using spreadsheet computer programs.
• Have ability to interface well with employees, customers and vendors on a daily basis.
• Have knowledge of accounting principles, practices and processes.
