Accountant

• We are currently recruiting for an Accountant for one of our clients within the Financial Services industry that would be based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. The successful candidate should come with at least 3+ years’ experience within a Tax Consultant role.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in an accounting environment.
• Beneficial: Accounting Degree/ Higher Diploma.
• Completed articles.
• Affiliations to SAICA/SAIPA/ACCA/CIMA /SAIBA are preferred.
• Beneficial: Exposure working on Caseware.
• Beneficial: Exposure working on Pastel Partner.
• Knowledge and experience with e-filling.
• Vehicle and valid Driver’s License: Will be required to travel to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting and tax function of client portfolio.
• Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors on Caseware.
• Filing of notices of objections and suspension of debt on e-filing.
• VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
• Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters.
• Prepare and submit:   -Income tax returns for individuals and companies.
• Provisional tax returns for individuals and companies.
• VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
• Competent to attend to all SARS correspondence.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
