Accountant: Leasing at The Shoprite Group of Companies

In the role of Lease Accountant, you will participate and support the IFRS 16 Lease Accounting team in all activities connected to the right-of-use asset and lease liability valuation and ensure the day-to-day modifications of accounting entries to maintain compliance with IFRS 16. This role also communicates inputs for SAP conditions to ensure that the required accounting result is achieved. In addition to the immediate Lease Accounting team, the role also works closely with a cross-functional team of stakeholders who participate in matrix structured projects, who may from time to time identify sustainable Leasing standards and activities that require project execution as primary or partial project scope deliverable/s.

You will need to possess a BCom Finance, Commercial or equivalent and 5 years relevant experience in a finance or similar role.
